Overheard

From my soon-to-be-10 year old son...

"When I grow up, I'm going to eat pancakes and eggs and milk for breakfast."

(pause)

"Of course, I'll need a wife or someone else to make them for me."

Too funny. That's why we do "Home Ec" in our homeschool. That way, Kaden learns to pick up his dirty socks, help sort and wash and fold and put away, sweep and mop, do dishes, and COOK - in case he doesn't get married for a while!

Although... Kevin sure does have it easy. The other day he told me to get up out of bed before he leaves for work so I can "have time to hang up his wet towel for him". HAHA! He was joking, but really - not joking because I'm always doing that for him. He's a slob (but not really - just lazy because he knows I'll do it for him). I am "enabling" him as my mother likes to say.

That's OK. I don't mind serving. He is my favorite person... besides my kids. ;)
